Advertising Policy

Last updated: September 2026

HealthObserver may display advertising to help fund the publication and keep our content free for readers. This policy explains how we keep advertising separate from our editorial work.

Editorial independence

Advertisers and sponsors have no influence over our editorial decisions, the topics we cover or the conclusions we reach. Our writers and editors do not produce content at the request of advertisers.

Clear labelling

Any advertising, sponsored content or affiliate links will be clearly identified as such, so readers can always distinguish between paid content and editorial content.

What we do not accept

  • Advertising for products or services that make unproven or misleading health claims
  • Adverts for prescription-only medicines directed at the public, in line with UK regulations
  • Content that is deceptive, offensive or inappropriate for a general audience
  • Advertising that imitates our editorial design in a misleading way

Third-party ads

Some adverts may be served by third-party networks that use cookies. For details, please read our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.
